You may also have a beneficial hot bath and wait until your partner calls you for dinner, which he/she prepared on the grill. Holiday in Lajen – numerous adventures right in front of you

The bucolic mountain village Lajen lies enthroned on 1,100 metres at the entrance to the Gardena Valley in the Dolomites and is therefore the ideal starting point for many activities in the fresh air, be it in spring, summer, autumn or winter.

Those who want to spend their summer holiday in the Gardena Valley can go for a hiking or mountain bike tour up the Raschötz, the Seiser Alm, along the Sella Ronda or go swimming – in natural bathing lakes or in the public swimming pools. Those who want to go on a model flights holiday in South Tyrol can be very excited: just at a stone’s throw from your holiday apartment you can fly your model airplane!

But there’s still more to come: in summer, we’re looking forward to meeting you at our mountain hut, the Unterpulg Alm, where you may try some tasty South Tyrolean dishes after a pleasant 1-hour walk, manageable with pushchair too. While enjoying the vista and some homemade treat, your children will make friends with the animals of our petting zoo.

In autumn you can look forward to the traditional Törggelen in South Tyrol with overnight stay that should not be missed! Törggelen is a century-old tradition where the people celebrate the young wine, take a walk through the autumnal landscape and subsequently taste local specialties such as bacon, dumplings, sausages, pickled cabbage and chestnuts. Since this tradition has its origin in Lajen, you may experience a very special Törggelen celebration here. Along with the Törggelen, a nice autumn hike on the sunny flank of Lajen come in very handy – like, for example, on the Walter von der Vogelweide Path.

In winter, you may easily reach the Sella Ronda ski route from your holiday apartment, as well as the Gröden/Seiser Alm ski resorts – three of the most beautiful ski resorts of the Dolomiti Superski ski area, where you can go skiing, winter hiking and snowshoeing, snowboarding, tobogganing and cross-country skiing.
